PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor having illumination characteristics different from conventional phosphors, giving a high light emitting intensity even when combined with a LED of at most 470 nm and having chemical and thermal stability.SOLUTION: The phosphor contains an inorganic compound represented by a composition formula, MADEX(where in the formula, d+e+f+g+h=1; M is one or at least two elements selected from Mn, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, and Yb; A one or at least two elements selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba; D is one or at least two elements selected from Si, Ge, Sn, Ti, Zr, and Hf; E is one or at least two elements selected from B, Al, Ga, In, Sc, Y and La; and X is one or at least two elements selected from O, N, and F); wherein parameters d, e, f, g, and h satisfy specific conditions. |
