PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft type windmill with excellent conversion efficiency and durability at low costs.SOLUTION: The vertical shaft type windmill comprises: a rotor that can rotate around a shaft in a vertical direction; and plural blades 8 including a cup-like helmet such as an industrial protective helmet, and mounted to at least the rotor in an axial direction so that its opening end face is vertical. The rotor comprises: a base 5; plural vertical frames 6 fixed to a frame mounting part of the base 5, and extending almost in a vertical direction; and a lateral frame 7 having a circular profile in a plane view, and coupling ends of the respective adjacent vertical frames 6 on its circumferential part. |
