PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a space, and to simply and accurately detect the half fitting of a housing.SOLUTION: A panel-mounting type connector is equipped with a first housing 10 arranged so as to penetrate an installation hole 2 opened on a panel 1, and a second housing 30 which can be fitted with the first housing 10 and inserted in the installation hole 2. The second housing 30 is provided with holding means 45 for holding the second housing 30 to the panel 1 when the second housing 30 is inserted to a normal position, and a lever 50 engaged with the first housing 10 to assist fitting force. The lever 50 is reciprocated between a first position and a second position to fit and separate both housings 10 and 30, and can pass through the installation hole 2 with the second housing 30 only when the lever 50 is at the second position to which both housings 10 and 30 are fitted. |
