PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device and information processing system capable of preventing leakage of information that is transmitted/received between a terminal and the information processing device without burdening a user.SOLUTION: An information processing system includes: a portable terminal 7 that has a LAN communication unit 31 for communicating with a compound machine 6; and the compound machine 6 that has a connection mode determination unit 22 for determining the mode of connection with the portable terminal 7 on the basis of whether or not a communication medium is via an NFC communication and a data processing unit 23 for processing data transmitted/received to/from the portable terminal 7 on the basis of the determined connection mode. |
