PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic information estimation device, a computer program and a traffic information estimation method, capable of accurately estimating traffic information on congestion.SOLUTION: A spot traffic volume calculation unit 12 calculates a traffic volume at an upstream point and a traffic volume at a downstream point of a section on the basis of sensing data obtained by a vehicle sensor. A first estimation unit 13 estimates the number of vehicles present in a section at an arbitrary point of time on the basis of the traffic volume at the upstream point, the traffic volume at the downstream point, on-ramp traffic volume and off-ramp traffic volume. A congestion position estimation unit 14 estimates a position in a congestion section in the section at the arbitrary point of time on the basis of the increase/decrease of the estimated number of vehicles in the section with the passage of time. |
