PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more improve workability of various kinds of work to be performed while opening a scanner unit, in a configuration where the scanner unit is provided in an upper part of a device body and further, an operation panel is disposed at a front side of a device.SOLUTION: In an ink jet printer 1, a scanner unit 3 is provided to be opened/closed in an upper part of a recording section 2 which performs recording on paper sheets. While the scanner unit 3 is closed, a panel unit 8 including an operation panel 9 constitutes the front of a device and a lower edge 8b of the panel unit forms a paper eject port 8. Since the panel unit 8 is provided in the scanner unit 3, when the scanner unit 3 is opened, a state where an upper part from the paper eject port 5 to the depth of the device is fully opened is provided. |
