The image providing apparatus includes an output unit comprising output circuitry for outputting image contents; and a processor configured to control the output unit to divide the image content into a plurality of scenes, to determine attributes regarding the plurality of scenes based on feature information on the plurality of scenes, and to classify the plurality of scenes based on the determined attributes to output the classified scenes.
