PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor that maintains slidability over a long period and has high film strength, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An organic photoreceptor includes an organic photosensitive layer formed on a conductive support, and a protective layer formed on the organic photosensitive layer. The protective layer is formed of a copolymer of a compound represented by the general formula (1) and a polymerizable organic compound capable of copolymerization.
