PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil joining method which can adequately secure a melting cross-section area by suppressing drooping of a molten part.SOLUTION: In a coil joining method, paired tips 31, 32 of two or more coils 3 each of which is formed of a flat wire 301, arranged in a stator core 2 of a rotary electric machine, are joined to each other. In the coil joining method, the paired tips 31, 32 are arranged by vertically overlapping on each other, so that at least a part of a tip face 311 of the upper tip 31 located on the upper side is formed in a state of being retracted to the base end side more than a tip face 321 of the lower tip 32 located on the lower side. Additionally, the upper tip 31 and the lower tip 32 are joined by melting with an arc X generated between a weld torch 4 and the upper tip 31. |
