1. An endoscope system for concurrently imaging at both visible and NIR wavelengths, the endoscope system comprising:
an endoscope operable to transmit both visible and NIR wavelengths; a light source operable to generate visible light and NIR excitation light, wherein an intensity of the visible light is independent from an intensity of the NIR excitation light; a camera having a single image sensor operable to concurrently image at both the visible and NIR wavelengths; a controller coupled to the visible light and the NIR excitation light; and a display device.
