1. An analogue of glucagon which is:
a compound comprising the amino acid sequence represented by formula (I)
His-Ser-Gln-Gly-Thr-Phe-Thr-Ser-Asp-Xaa10-Ser-Xaa12-Xaa13-Leu-Xaa15-Xaa16-Xaa17-Xaa18-Ala-Xaa20-Xaa21-Phe-Xaa23-Xaa24-Trp-Leu-Leu-Asn-Xaa29-V (I) wherein V is selected from the group consisting of His (SEQ ID NO: 716), His-NH2 (SEQ ID NO: 717), His-His (SEQ ID NO: 718), His-His-NH2 (SEQ ID NO: 719), Gly-His (SEQ ID NO: 720), Gly-His-NH2 (SEQ ID NO: 721), Lys-His (SEQ ID NO: 722), Lys-His-NH2 (SEQ ID NO: 723), Gly-His-His (SEQ ID NO: 724), Gly-His-His-NH2 (SEQ ID NO: 725), His-His-His (SEQ ID NO: 726) and His-His-His-NH2 (SEQ ID NO: 727);
Xaa10 is selected from the group consisting of Tyr and Leu;Xaa12 is selected from the group consisting of Lys, His and Arg;Xaa13 is selected from the group consisting of Tyr, Gln and His;Xaa15 is selected from the group consisting of Asp and Glu;Xaa16 is selected from the group consisting of Glu, Gln and Ser;Xaa17 is selected from the group consisting of Arg, His and Lys;Xaa18 is selected from the group consisting of Arg and Lys;Xaa20 is selected from the group consisting of His and Gln;Xaa21 is selected from the group consisting of Glu, His and Asp;Xaa23 is selected from the group consisting of Be and Val;Xaa24 is selected from the group consisting of Gln and Glu; andXaa29 is selected from the group consisting of Thr and Gly; and wherein —NH2 represents a C-terminal amide group; or a derivative of the compound; or a salt of the compound or the derivative. |
