1. A method for determining whether an object is detected by a scanner, comprising:
providing a scanner; executing scanning operations using the scanner to acquire at least one information set (“acquired information set”); processing the acquired information set to provide a processed information set; identifying subsets of the processed information set; determining a Fast-Fourier-Transform (“FFT”) for each subset; evaluating each FFT to provide at least one FFT-derived output for each subset; determining whether the FFT-derived outputs for each subset indicate that a target object was present during the scan; and for each subset, providing an indicator indicating whether the FFT-derived outputs indicate that a target object was present during the scanning operation. |
