[Classes 38 (i) and 41] Good contact between a busbar and an. anode hook suspended therefrom is ensured by placing a clamping device over the anode hook and tightening. In a specific embodiment, a metal loop a, containing at one end a boss c formed to receive a tightening screw d, is placed over the stem of the anode hook e, which is then engaged with the bus-bar f. The loop a is then raised to engage the free end of the hook c, and the screw d is tightened. The loop u. may be curved in the direction of its length, and the screw may be replaced by a cam, eccentric or other tightening member.
