The present invention pertains to a device for selecting a three-dimensional point group and a method for selecting a three-dimensional point group with which it is possible to easily select a three-dimensional point group indicating the shape of an intended subject when the shapes of a plurality of subjects are indicated by a three-dimensional point group. The device for selecting a three-dimensional point group is provided with a display unit (5) on which a first point group indicating the shapes of a plurality of subjects is displayed, a condition-setting unit 2 for setting a selection condition that is a condition for selecting a second point group indicating the shape of one subject from among the first point group, and a selection unit (4) for selecting the second point group from among the first point group on the basis of the selection condition.
