Provided are a cation exchange membrane having excellent chemical characteristics and mechanical characteristics, and a cation exchange membrane and fuel cell electrolyte membrane using the same. The present invention has: a divalent hydrophobic unit; and a divalent hydrophilic unit comprising single aromatic rings, or comprising a divalent hydrocarbon group, a divalent silicon-containing group, a divalent nitrogen-containing group, a divalent phosphorus-containing group, a divalent oxygen-containing group, a divalent sulfur-containing group, or a plurality of aromatic rings bonded to each other via carbon-carbon bonds, wherein divalent hydrophilic groups, in which at least one of the aromatic rings has a cation exchange group, are repeated via carbon-carbon bonds. Furthermore, the present invention uses a cation exchange resin in which the hydrophobic unit and the hydrophilic unit are bonded via a carbon-carbon bond. |
