A video recommendation method comprises: acquiring videos comprising long videos and short videos; acquiring, from the long videos, a long video having a video attribute value greater than a corresponding attribute threshold value; acquiring a viewing record of a user, acquiring similarities of the short videos to a video in the viewing record, and extracting a predetermined number of short videos having the highest similarities; and recommending to the user the long video having the video attribute value greater than the corresponding attribute threshold value in the long videos, and/or recommending to the user the predetermined number of the short videos having the highest similarities.
