The invention relates to a composition for rapid oxygen liberation in the surrounding and meant for repelling pest more particularly mosquitoes black flies, bedbugs, tsetse etc. wherein said * composition comprises an oxygen liberating compound, a buffering agent, a metal catalyst, and at least one biopolymer that help maintain sustain release mechanism of the active ingredients in the composition and a method for making the same. Said composition when mixed with water liberates oxygen with a controlled release mechanism such that the release of oxygen suppresses the percentage volume of carbon dioxide in the surrounding area thus repelling the mosquitoes and other pest that strive for carbon dioxide to live and find their host. The invention also describes various application of said composition wherein said composition can also be used as a bioremediation in waste waters, a swimming pool water cleanser, as a plant nutrient, and an aquaculture booster etc. |
