The invention relates to a system for generating a user interface (UI) to be executed on a user device, the system comprising: one or more memory devices (212, 228) storing characteristics associated with the user device, with one or more users of the user device and/or with the environment of the user device; and a processing device (224, 304) adapted to generate code UI so as to implement the UI: by generating a first portion of the code UI by using one or more first transformations selected on the basis of one or more of the characteristics; by generating a second portion of the code UI by using one or more second transformations selected on the basis of one or more of the characteristics; and by assembling at least the first and second portions so as to generate the code UI.
