An environmentally responsible system and method for providing w-beam- and thrie-beam-guardrail-shaped barrier systems uses approximately half the metal required by certified AASHTO-approved guardrail. It also eliminates the on-site costly and hazardous galvanization process in lieu of simpler, cheaper, and more cost-effective corrosive control materials. Alternative barriers systems, such as agrifencing, are in greater demand, while the supply of used AASHTO-approved guardrail is decreasing. The invention provides a supply of lighter-duty materials for these lighter-duty applications. |
