The composition, of the present invention, containing Lactococcus chungangensis as an active ingredient, has excellent effects of preventing or treating inflammatory diseases, inhibiting the secretion of nitric oxide and prostaglandin E2, which are major inflammatory factors, and inhibiting the secretion of β-hexosaminidase and histamine, which are major factors related to allergies, and also significantly inhibits the production of skin disease-related cytokines and chemokines. The effects are on the same level as those of conventional therapeutic agents, even compared therewith, for skin diseases (tacrolimus), and thus the composition can be used as a preventive or therapeutic agent for inflammatory diseases. In addition, the composition according to the present invention exhibits an antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, which is a microorganism inducing secondary infection and the like of atopic dermatitis, and thus can be used in preventing or treating bacterial infection. |
