Systems (30) and methods for managing umbilical lines (31, 32) and one or more jumpers (33, 53) are provided. An example of a system (30)includes a deployment platform (61) carrying a winch and spool assembly (71, 81), a tether management assembly (35), and an integrated electrical and/or hydraulic umbilical line (31, 32) extending between a spool (74, 84) on the winch and spool assembly (71, 81) and the tether management assembly (35). The winch and spool assembly (71, 81) is configured to deploy and to support the umbilical line (31, 32). The tether management assembly (35) includes a winch and spool assembly (45, 51) for deploying a flying lead and/or annulus jumper (33, 53) adapted to connect to an emergency disconnect package (39) of a well control package for a well(40). A set of buoyant modules (75, 85) are connected to or integral with a portion of the umbilical line (31, 32) to be used to form an artificial heave compensation loop (77, 87). |
