The invention relates to a solvent-free method for producing carboxylic acid amides of formula (1) R1-CONR3R4 (1) which are precipitated, at the given reaction temperatures, as a solid from the reaction mixture, in a mechanical device with which liquid and solid mixtures of liquid and solid substances are intermixed by shear forces; wherein at least one carboxylic acid ester of formula (I) R1-COOR2 (I) where R1 and R2 are the same or different and stand for a, where applicable, substituted hydrocarbon group with 1 to 100 C- atoms, is reacted with at least one amine of formula (II) HNR3R4 (II) where R3 and R4 are the same or different and stand for hydrogen or a, where applicable, substituted hydrocarbon group with up to 1 to 100 C- atoms, in the presence of at least one catalyst from the group consisting of metal alcoholates, at a reaction temperature of between 70 and 150 °C. |
