METHOD FOR DISPLAYING WEB CONTENT AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE SUPPORTING THE SAME

A system and method are provided for displaying a web content, which enables a web content to be conveniently used on multiple screens and provide interactions among multiple screens. A first electronic device may receive web data from a content provider and generate a main DOM tree. The first electronic device may divide and transmit data relating to an expansion element from the web data to a second electronic device that generates an expanded DOM tree, processes the expanded DOM tree, and displays the same on a screen of the second electronic device. The second electronic device may detect a user input and identify whether an event for detecting the user input is included in the main DOM tree or the extended DOM tree and if the event is included in the main DOM tree or the extended DOM tree, the second electronic device may transmit the event to the first electronic device.

1. An electronic device, comprising:
a housing; at least one display configured to provide a first screen exposed in a part of the housing and a second screen arranged to be separate from the first screen; a wireless communication circuit; a processor electrically connected to the display and the wireless communication circuit; and a memory electrically connected to the processor, wherein the memory is configured to store instructions that when executed, configure the processor to:
store, at least temporarily, content data in the memory,recognize an indication that a data part is to be displayed on the second screen, within the stored data, anddisplay the data part on the second screen and at least a part of the remainder of the content data on the first screen, based on the recognized indication.
