FIBER LAMINATE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER LAMINATE, AND FIBER REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL

A fiber laminate W is constituted by laminating first through fourth fiber layers. The fiber laminate is provided with a tapered part wherein the thickness changes according to the position in the longitudinal direction. The first through fourth fiber layers are formed from noncontinuous fibers and are constituted such that the angles of orientation of the noncontinuous fibers are aligned in one direction. The angles of orientation of the noncontinuous fibers in the first through fourth fiber layers differ from each other. In addition, the first through fourth fiber layers are provided with thickness varying parts wherein the thickness changes continuously while the density of fibers is kept constant regardless of position in the longitudinal direction. The tapered part is constituted by layering a plurality of thickness varying parts. The amount of change in thickness of each of the plurality of thickness varying parts is the same regardless of position in the longitudinal direction.
