A plastic-encased external rotor motor supported at the front and rear, and a fan using the same. The external rotor motor comprises a front end cover (1), a rear end cover (6), a sleeve cylinder casing (2), a rotating shaft (3), a stator module (5), and an external rotor module (4). The front end cover (1) and rear end cover (6) are respectively installed at two ends of the sleeve cylinder casing (2). The external rotor module (4) is installed on the rotating shaft (3) and is integrally connected to the rotating shaft (3). The rear end cover (6) comprises a cover (62) and a sleeve cylinder seat (61) extending upwards from the center of the cover (62). A bearing chamber is provided at a bottom end of the sleeve cylinder seat (61). In the bearing chamber is installed a rear bearing (82). The stator module (5) is embedded and installed outside the sleeve cylinder seat (61). The external rotor module (4) is disposed inside the sleeve cylinder casing (2) and sleeved outside the stator module (5). A tail portion of the rotating shaft (3) is supported at the rear bearing located at the bottom end of the rear end cover (6). A center portion of the rotating shaft (3) is supported at the front bearing located at the center of the front end cover (1). A head portion of the rotating shaft (3) extends from the front end cover (1) to form a shaft extending end (31) connected to a load. Thus, it is not necessary to modify the manner of installing a motor to directly replace an internal rotor motor, and installation is convenient and simple, providing considerable convenience to users and enabling improvement to product functions at an application side. |
