The present invention provides a method and apparatus for detecting and stopping malicious clicking of an advertisement link. The method comprises: monitoring, in a kernel mode, a network access request, uploading the monitored network access request to a user mode, and intercepting the network access request when it is determined that the monitored network access request meets corresponding advertisement link interception information in an interception information set; and making statistics, in the user mode, on a clicking situation of an advertisement link corresponding to the network access request when it is determined that the network access request from the kernel mode is a network access request for advertisements, and issuing advertisement link interception information for the advertisement link to the kernel mode when it is determined that the clicking situation meets a malicious clicking condition, so as to update the interception information set. The technical solution provided by the present invention can eliminate adverse effects on a network caused by a malicious advertisement link clicking phenomenon as soon as possible, thereby saving network transmission resources, and improving the device performance of a network side. |
