A frac head system (12), comprising an isolation sleeve (62), wherein the frac head (60) is configured to retain portions of an isolation sleeve (62) that separates frac fluid from tubing (28). In order to protect the tubing (28) from frac fluid moving at high velocities, the frac head system (12) includes an isolation sleeve (62) in a frac head. The isolation sleeve may have wear resistant features, such as coatings (180), thicker portions (210) or flow features (230) that increase the durability of the isolation sleeve. Furthermore, in the event that a portion of the isolation sleeve separates from the rest of the isolation sleeve, the isolation sleeve and frac head may block those portions that separate from entering the wellbore, for example by protrusions (118) on the sleeve and corresponding ledges (120) of the frac head (60). |
