PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium having enhanced mechanical characteristics and antistatic characteristics and almost preventing the sticking of dust by forming a plasma-etched cured coating film. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer 2 is formed on one side of a polycarbonate substrate 1, the other is coated with a coating soln. for a UV-curing resin coating film by a spin coating method and a cured coating film having the required thickness is formed by irradiating the coating soln. with a high pressure mercury lamp. This UV-curing resin coating film is plasma-etched with a plasma etching device and the objective optical information recording medium with a plasma- etched cured coating film 3 is obtd. This recording medium has enhanced mechanical characteristics and high antistatic characteristics, almost prevents the sticking of dust and ensures high reliability of recording and reproduction. When plasma-etched cured coating films are formed on both sides, the same result is produced. |
