PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear projection type display apparatus capable of preventing the occurrence of a ghost on a screen.SOLUTION: A rear projection type display apparatus 1 comprises: a screen 50; a light source 20; and a Fresnel lens 40 arranged between the screen 50 and the light source 20. In the rear projection type display apparatus 1, the side of the light source 20 of the Fresnel lens 40 is a plane 41, the side of the screen 50 of the Fresnel lens 40 is a plurality of prisms having a rise surface 43 and a Fresnel surface 42, and light entering the inside from the plane 41 of the Fresnel lens 40 is refracted by the Fresnel surface 42 and emitted to the screen 50. The inclination of the rise surface 43 is formed so that the light reflected by the Fresnel surface 42, without being emitted is emitted to the outside from the plane 41, after being reflected by the rise surface 43. |
