The compactor has a movable drum (2) rotatable around a drum axle (1). The drum is divided into two drum parts, where each drum part comprises a vibration generator that is supported at a distance from the drum axle in the drum. The vibration generator producing oscillatory torsional moment is coupled with an unbalanced mass around the drum axle, where the unbalanced mass is rotated around 180 degrees. A drive shaft arranged coaxial to the drum axle drives the vibration generator. |
