PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize picture quality of an image obtained using a differential sound component and a second-order harmonic wave, without depending on difference in frequency reduction characteristics.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes an acquisition unit, an adjustment unit, a sending/receiving unit, a synthesis unit and an image creation unit. The acquisition unit acquires relational information on frequency reduction characteristics of a photographing portion. The adjustment unit changes a ratio between a vibration amplitude of a first base wave and a vibration amplitude of a second base wave having a center frequency larger than a center frequency of the first base wave in accordance with the relational information, and adjusts waveforms of synthetic ultrasonic of the first base wave and the second base wave. The sending/receiving unit sends the synthesis ultrasonic waves a plurality of times while inverting the phases, and creates a plurality of reflective wave data. The synthesis unit synthesizes the plurality of reflective wave data and creates synthesis data where the differential sound component and a second-order harmonic wave component of the first base wave are extracted. The image creation unit creates ultrasonic image data using the synthesis data. |
