The present invention is directed to a method of manufacturing a tray with an RFID tag, to such tray and a system with a holder for such tray. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of forming at least one RFID unit (3) by covering the RFID tag (3a, 3b) with a first material which is at least after the forming essentially thermally inactive at a molding temperature. The RFID unit (3) is positioned at or onto a second material (2) which is heat curable and fibre reinforced and at least tensed to fold during molding. The RFID unit (3) is covered with a cover material (4) to form a stack (2, 3, 4) the cover material being thermally inactive at the molding temperature. Pressing and heating of the stack (2, 3, 4) at the molding temperature to form the tray (11) is then carried out. |
