摘要 PURPOSE:To accelerate recording speed by controlling the relative positions of a light spot for recording and a light spot for reproducing corresponding to the moving direction of a recording medium and allowing the light spot for recording precedent to the light spot to be reproduced. CONSTITUTION:A recording instruction is received by an MPU 103, and the MPU 103 outputs a control signal to a shuttle driving circuit 105 so as to reciprocatively move a shuttle. In the case of moving the shuttle, the movement is detected by inversion detecting sensors 111 and 112 respectively provided in both of directions A and B. Corresponding to a detecting signal, an inversion detecting circuit 107 detects the shuttle arrives at a position to be inverted and based on the output signal of the circuit 107, the MPU 103 controls the circuit 105. When the shuttle is inverted in the direction A, the relative position of the light spot for recording to the light spot for reproduction is inverted, and the light spot for recording is switched so as to be precedent to the light spot for reproduction. Thus, bidirectional recording and verification are enabled and the recording speed is accelerated.
