PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent for an implant capable of alleviating inflammations attributed to implant materials.SOLUTION: The provided coating agent for an implant is a coating agent for an implant comprising an artificial protein (A) wherein (A) includes a polypeptide chain (Y) formed by 2-200 continuous sequencing of at least one type of amino acid sequence (X) selected from among GVGVP sequence (1), PGVGV sequence (2), VPGVG sequence (3), GVPGV sequence (4), VGVPG sequence (5), and GPP sequence, GAP sequence, and GAHGPAGPK sequence (6) and/or the following polypeptide chain (Y'), wherein the total number of (Y) and (Y') within (A) is 1-100, and wherein the degree of hydrophobicity of (A) is 0.2-1.2. The polypeptide chain (Y') is a polypeptide chain in which 0.1-10%, in terms of number, of amino acids within (Y) have been substituted with lysine and/or arginine. |
