A problem to be solved is to provide a valve opening and closing device, which remotely controls opening and closing of a valve and remotely checks an opening and closing state of a valve. Desirably, a drive portion of a valve opening and closing device or a current carrying position adjacent to a valve are not formed to constitute a valve opening and closing device. A solution provides a valve opening and closing device which comprises: a valve fitting unit having a sign optically identifying an opening and closing state of a valve to be controlled in an outer circumferential surface and fitted to the valve to be controlled to be rotated with the axial center same as a rotational axis of the valve to be controlled; a valve fitting unit rotational means interlocked with the valve fitting unit, rotating the valve fitting unit along the axial center, and desirably consisting of a flat spiral spring; a control unit controlling the valve fitting unit rotational means; and a sign reading means reading a sign through optical fiber and transmitting an opening and closing state of the valve to be controlled to the control unit. |
