The process for conditioning solids returning from a gas-solid separator, comprises introducing the solids in an inlet placed at first end of a reactor having a fine screw (204), injecting a conditioning gas in a chamber (2022) placed near opposite end of the reactor using intermediate nozzle (210) at a flow rate of 1-60 Kg/hr, counter-currently circulating the gas in the reactor, regulating the solid flow and dimensions of fine screw, and extracting the conditioned solids from the chamber using an intermediate rotational evacuation device with double valve. Time of passage of solids in contact with the conditioning gas is 1-5 minutes. Height of the solid is maintained at a level of 40-55% of the height of the fine screw. The solid is maintained at a temperature of 80-150[deg] C inside the reactor. The conditioning gas is dry air or a mixture of air and water vapor. Independent claims are included for: (1) an installation for conditioning solids; and (2) a process for purifying fumes containing pollutant acids. |
