491,209. Hook adaptors for bolts. LINDSAY, Ltd., H., and LINDSAY, H. April 30, 1938, No. 12922. [Class 89 (i)] In an adaptor for converting a straight bolt into a hook bolt, of the kind comprising a thick metal washer 3 having a rectangular hole to receive the round or square neck of a bolt 1 and formed on one side with a laterally projecting abutment forming a hook 4, the latter is provided on its underside with a web or fillet 5 which will bear against the edges of flanges 6 of different thicknesses. The web may be readily filed or cut away to improve the hold of the hook on the flange. A depending spur 7 may be formed opposite the hook so as to bear against the bolt. |
