METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING COLORS OF A VIDEO SEQUENCE

The invention relates to a method for processing the colors of video segments comprising the steps of:
a) selecting (S3) an example image for a reference segment;
b) computing (S4) a reference color transformation, based on the key frame of the reference segment and the example image;
c) for at least one of the video segments different from the reference segment, computing (S5) a subsidiary color transformation based on the key frame of the video segment and the example image;
d) computing (S6), for each subsidiary color transformation, a distance between the reference color transformation and the subsidiary color transformation;
e) determining (S7) the video segments, called close video segments, having a subsidiary color transformation of which the computed distance is lower than a threshold; and
f) applying (S8) a color transformation based on the reference color transformation and/or the subsidiary color transformations to the reference segment and the close video segments.
