The present invention relates to anthracyclines for using in the treatment of sepsis. Among the anthracyclines, epirubicin, doxorubicin and daunorubicin are particularly efficient, mainly epirubicin. The anthracyclines are suitable for the treatment of any kind of sepsis, but they are especially efficient in the treatment of severe sepsis (septic shock). |
