PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring balancer with a motor that enables a smooth operation and prevents deterioration of a user's working efficiency, and an automated suspension device equipped with the spring balancer with a motor that can exhibit a careless mistake preventing function.SOLUTION: A spring balancer (1) with a motor includes: a rotation drum (4) having a tapered outer peripheral surface; a wire rope (3) wound from a large diameter side to a small diameter side of the rotation drum (4); a power spring that energizes the rotation drum (4) in a direction to wind the wire rope (3); and a motor for generating torque to rotate the rotation drum (4). The motor is a stepping motor (5) and includes a driver (9) for driving the stepping motor (5) and a controller (10) for controlling the driver. |
