A fixing device (18) includes a fixing member (23, 70), a pressuring member (24) and a heater (25). The fixing member (23 , 70) is configuxed to be rotatable. The pressuring member (24) is configured to be rotatable and to come into pressure contact with the fixing member (23, 70) so as to form a fixing nip (N). The heater (25) is arranged inside the fixing member (23, 70). A heat resistant coating (34) to convert light from the heater (25) into heat is applied to an inner face (23a, 70a) of the fixing member (23, 70), and the coating (34) is formed by using an inorganic material. |
