An elevator car is configured in such a manner that a car frame has a left and right pair of car floor support frames (24a, 24b) for supporting the car chamber. The car floor support frames are affixed to the upper parts of emergency stop beams (23a, 23b) and have: first support frame side beams (26) arranged aligned in the front-rear direction of the car chamber; second support frame side beams (27) affixed to the lower parts of the emergency stop beams and arranged directly below the first support frame side beams so as to be parallel to the first support frame side beams; and reinforcement members (28a, 28b, 28c, 28d) connected, on both sides of the emergency stop beams in the front-rear direction of the car chamber, to the first support frame side beams and the second support frame side beams. |
