The present invention provides a combustion apparatus equipped with: a combustion section (20) that combusts organic material and comprises a primary combustion section (21) for gasifying organic material by combustion, and a secondary combustion section (22) formed on the downstream side of the primary combustion section (21); an air supply port (12) that supplies air and is positioned between the primary combustion section (21) and the secondary combustion section (22); and a combustible material housing section (60) for supplying organic material to the primary combustion section (21). The combustion apparatus is characterized in that: the lower part of the combustible material housing section (60) and the primary combustion section (21) form a gasification initiation chamber; a castable (18) having airholes formed therein is positioned on the underside of the gasification initiation chamber; and a gasification air supply tube (71) is provided for supplying air underneath the castable (18). Thus, provided is a compact and simple combustion apparatus that does not consume much power, is capable of appropriately gasifying organic material, and has good heat exchange efficiency. |
