PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery suppressed in deterioration of battery performance, and a method for suitably manufacturing the secondary battery.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 100 proposed in the present invention includes a positive electrode 220 and a negative electrode 240. The negative electrode 240 includes a negative electrode collector 241, and a negative electrode active material layer 243 held by the negative electrode collector 241 and containing graphite 245. In the negative electrode active material layer 243, the degree of orientation of the graphite 245 contained in an inner region 243b relatively close to the negative electrode collector 241 is lower than the degree of orientation of the graphite 245 contained in a surface region 243a relatively close to the external surface 244 of the negative electrode active material layer 243. |
