摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared receiving unit capable of increasing the reliability and the sensibility and an infrared gas sensor using the same.SOLUTION: An infrared receiving unit 2 includes: an infrared detection element 20; a first optical filter 31 and a second optical filter 32; a base 43; and a package 29. A first light receiving element 2a and a second light receiving element 2b have a first electrode 2h and a second electrode 2i connected to a first output terminal 2j and a second output terminal 2k respectively at the front side and the rear side of a pyroelectric substrate 2g. The first output terminal 2j and the second output terminal 2k are not overlapped with each other in a thickness direction the pyroelectric substrate 2g and are connected to a first lead terminal 43j and a second lead terminal 43k of the base 43 at a first joint 7j and a second joint 7k formed of a conductive adhesive respectively. An insulation base 43 protrudes in a thickness direction from outside of area to be mounted with the infrared detection element 20 between the first lead terminal 43j and the second lead terminal 43k and a projection 43c for positioning the infrared detection element 20 is formed.
