There is provided an ink composition for ink jet textile printing, the ink composition containing a pigment, a urethane resin emulsion, an emulsion-type silicone compound, and water, wherein the urethane resin emulsion content is 3.5 to 14 mass% relative to the total mass of the ink composition, the emulsion-type silicone compound content is in the range of 0.4 to 3.0 mass% relative to the total mass of the ink composition, and the water content is in the range of 20 to 80 mass% relative to the total mass of the ink composition. |
