A method and a device for predicting the durability of ionexes by means of the dynamic method. When predicting the durability of ionexes by means of the dynamic method, the initial state at a sample of an expanded ionex with the grain size 0.2 to 2 mm of the total ionex capacity is determined, an image analysis of the initial state of ionex, which monitors the particle size distribution of ionex, is conducted, subsequently, the sample of expanded ionex is placed in an ionex column and subjected to at least one operating cycle at 5-140°C, at a specific load corresponding to ionex regeneration in real operation, 1 to 20 m3 of solution per m3 of ionex per hour, consisting of the following subsequent working steps: at least one sorption step with a model sorption solution, i.e. an acid, base or salt solution or their mixtures, a washing step with a washing solution, which is water, at least one regeneration step with a regeneration solution, i.e. an acid, base or salt solution or their mixtures, a washing step with a washing solution, which is water. Then, the ionex sample is removed from the column and the final state of the total ionex capacity is determined and compared with the initial state of the total ionex capacity, when the loss of the total capacity of ionex is less than 20%, additional use of ionex is enabled, and when the loss of the total capacity of ionex is more than 25%, fatal failure of ionex, or the necessity of replacing it, is confirmed, subsequently, the image analysis of the final state of ionex is performed and in, comparison with the image analysis of the initial state of ionex, the risk of leakage of ionex material from the filter for particles smaller than the nozzle openings for discharging solutions from the ionex column in real operation is identified. |
