[Class 46] Filtering elements, each comprising an imperforate pebbled plate 15 with layers of paper above and below, are mounted with spacing elements, each comprising a ring 8 connected to a hub 9 by radial arms, on a central slotted supply tube 3 in a casing 1. Oil supplied through the tube 3 passes through the slots 4 into spaces between the tube and the hubs 9, thence through apertures 12 in the hubs to the spaces 14 and through the filter paper to the plates 15. The filtrate passes out at the periphery of the plates and is discharged through a pipe 2. Flat circular rings 16 are arranged at the periphery of the plates 15 and rings 18 at their inner edges.</p> |
