PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing apparatus for a modified cross section oblong member and a method of manufacturing the same, capable of suppressing occurrence of wrinkles caused by excessive material, for manufacturing a modified cross section oblong member of high quality.SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus 1 for a modified cross section oblong member P includes a plurality of roll pairs 30 arranged in the transportation direction of a plate material W, and manufactures an oblong member having a modified cross section shape by sequentially penetrating the plate material between the rolls of the plurality of roll pairs 30. At least one roll pair among the plurality of roll pairs 30 includes an inside roll 111 which abuts on an inside surface of the plate material W, and an outside roll 112 which abuts on an outside surface of the plate material W. The plate material W is pinched between the inside roll 111 and the outside roll 112. By transporting the plate material W by causing resistance against flow of material constituting the plate material W, an oblong member having a modified cross section shape is manufactured. |
