PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent skimming without giving discomfort.SOLUTION: A magnetic reading part 2 has a card insertion slot 2a into which a card 1 is inserted, a guide part 3 guides the card 1 to the card insertion slot 2a by sliding one side of the card 1 in an insertion direction B, a protection part 4 is provided at a side part of a main surface side of the card 1 of the card insertion slot 2a and at a position at which a magnetic recording medium 1a is passed through when the card 1 is carried inside, and a regulation part 5 regulates the card 1 such that the vicinity of a tip part 1aa in the insertion direction B of the magnetic recording medium 1a is covered by the protection part 4. Thus, a skimming device 6 cannot be installed at the card insertion slot 2a. In addition, the skimming device 6 cannot steal information of the magnetic recording medium 1 because the magnetic recording medium 1a is passed through the skimming device 6 not from the tip part 1aa but in the middle of the magnetic recording medium when the card 1 is moved in the insertion direction B even though the skimming device 6 is installed in the protection part 4. |
